We know that the world is made up of a huge number of different sorts of people. So, whether your parents, carers or family members go to work each day, are unemployed, stay at home working very hard to look after you or do voluntary work, it's because of them that the world is an exciting place full of amazing people, all with different skills and ideas and ways of doing things.

We want to recognise that, and we need your help to do it!

Try these different ideas:

1. Draw a picture of your family member at work, doing their 'job'.

Then, ask an adult to scan the picture into the  computer an email it to me

along with your first name, your age, and a few sentences to tell me about

your family member and the job that they do. Maybe you could describe

the best thing about their job and then the hardest thing  about their job.

I'll then make sure that the picture gets put up on this page of our website!

If you don't have a computer scanner, you can post your picture to me along with your story and I will scan it in for you.

2. On a piece of paper, in your best handwriting, write a prayer for your

family member, asking God to help them be the best they can be in their

workplace, and asking God to help them to make good decisions. Again,

scan in your prayer and email it to me, or post it to me, and I will put it on

the kids page of the website.

3. Record yourself talking about and describing your family member's job,

or talking to them about their job, like an interview.

You can then email me the MP3 file, to put on the website for everyone to hear!

4. Film or photograph yourself dressed up, acting out and doing

some role play, pretending to do your family member's job, and

send us the video clip! To do this, you HAVE to have the help of

an adult, and you must have permission from a parent of guardian

to use your pictures on our website.

They can download, complete and return a permission form to us, and you can download the form by clicking on the picture that says 'permission form'.

Send your drawings/paintings/collages and prayers to: [email protected]

or post them to the address on the right of the screen.

Thanks for your help!
