Chaplaincy on the Frontline

If you have ever wanted to know more about workplace Chaplaincy, or want to find out some of the history of faith in the factory, award winning radio presenter Alan Dein has produced a fascinating short programme for BBC Radio 4, ‘Faith in the factory floor, flock in a hard hat’.

Starting in the steel mills of Sheffield, he examines the roots of workplace Chaplaincy, and the evolution of Industrial Mission from factory floor to retail store floor. The programme features Kent Workplace Mission’s own David Slater (Dover), as well as Chaplains Mike West (Sheffield) and Fiona Stewart-Darling (Canary Wharf, London). You can listen on the BBC Sounds website here.
