Trustee: Maj Tracey Palmer
20th August 2026

Major Tracey Palmer, began her appointment as Assistant Divisional Commander for the South East Division in July 2025
Tracey has served as a Salvation Army officer for 31 years, with appointments that have taken her across the UK and around the world. Before coming to the South East Division, she served at The Salvation Army College in London, where she supported vocational development. Her ministry has also included 10 years overseas, first in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, training Salvation Army officers, and then in Papua New Guinea, helping to develop educational provision. Earlier in her officership, Tracey was involved in officer training in the UK and corps leadership in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicester. Through every season of ministry, she has carried a strong sense of calling and a desire to encourage others to discover how God can use what they offer to Him.
Tracey is enjoying getting to know the South East Division, with its beautiful counties of Kent, Sussex and Surrey, and the people and communities that make this part of the territory so special. Away from work, she loves reading and walking and hopes to make more time to pick up her camera again and return to photography. She looks forward to being involved with KWM.
